Compass Connect is a strategic transport corridor which is the key to Connecting Sydney Quickly.

Compass Connect provides a unique solution to Sydney’s most pressing transport challenges. It will:

• relieve traffic congestion caused by WestConnex in Sydney City and inner south suburbs;
• relieve train overcrowding and station congestion on the existing Sydney Trains network;
• eliminate the need to shut down the Bankstown Line;
• improve the design concepts for the Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link; and
• accelerate delivery of the Western Harbour Tunnel and Sydney Metro West.

Compass Connect may also enable rapid and cost-effective delivery of high speed rail between Sydney and NSW regional centres.
